THAT'S 400% MORE THAN THE COUNTY'S GROWTH. IF THE RATE WERE TO CONTINUE, THE SCHOOL SYSTEM WOULD SOON TAKE OVER THE ENTIRE BUDGET. THERE ARE 50,000 MORE PEOPLE LIVING IN HARFORD COUNTY TODAY THAN THERE WERE TWO DECADES AGO. THAT'S A LOT MORE CITIZENS PAYING TAXES. HOWEVER, TWO DECADES AGO, HC HAD 40,000 STUDENTS IN THE GOVERNMENT RUN SCHOOLS AND TODAY THERE IS 38,000 STUDENTS. SO WE HAVE NEARLY 50,000 MORE TAXPAYERS FUNDING, 2000 LESS STUDENTS. AND IT'S NOT ENOUGH. THE SCHOOLS WANT MASSIVE INCREASES

IN THEIR BUDGET. THIS IS UNSUSTAINABLE. PART OF THE PROBLEM IS EXPLOSIVE GROWTH OF CENTRAL OFFICE SALARIES, PERSONNEL AND DEPARTMENTS. FOR EXAMPLE, THE TALENT PATHWAY DEPARTMENT PAYS THEIR HEAD OVER A QUARTER OF A MILLION IN BENEFITS. TO PROMOTE DEI HIRING, WE NEED TO FIND CANDIDATES BASED ON MERIT. THIS DEPARTMENT CAN BE ELIMINATED. WE ALSO HAVE NUMEROUS EMPLOYEES COLLECTING HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS THAT ARE NOT WORKING AT ALL. ELIMINATE THESE PEOPLE AND SAVE MONEY. AN ADMINISTRATOR FROM AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ENDORSED ON SOCIAL MEDIA OF THE KILLING OF ADDITIONAL CONSERVATIVES LIKE CHARLIE KIRK, A COUNCILMAN WITH A TROUBLED PAST, IS NOT WORKING. AND OF COURSE, WE KNOW ABOUT OUR SUPERINTENDENT. SEE, WE SAVED $1 MILLION RIGHT THERE. IF YOU GIVE ME MORE INFORMATION, WE CAN DO BETTER. THANK YOU. YES, WE DO NEED GOD BACK IN OUR SCHOOLS. CONSTITUTIONALLY, WE HAVE FREEDOM OF RELIGION, NOT FREEDOM FROM RELIGION. AGAIN, I ASK YOU TO CONSIDER BRINGING BACK THE BIBLE AS AN ELECTIVE ENGLISH LITERATURE COURSE. STUDENTS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT AND BE EDUCATED ON THE NUMBER ONE BEST SELLING BOOK OF ALL TIME. YES, THERE ARE AGE INAPPROPRIATE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE, BUT OF COURSE, THOSE PARTS DO NOT NEED TO BE SPECIFICALLY INCLUDED IN THE COURSEWORK. YOU FIND IT ACCEPTABLE TO BE TEACHING YOUR GENDER IDEOLOGIES AS TRUTH. HCPS STUDENTS HAVE A READING PROFICIENCY RATE OF 50% AND MATH PROFICIENCY RATE OF 31%. AND YET CPS BRAGS A VERY HIGH GRADUATION RATE. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? WE HAVE MANY STUDENTS GOING TO COLLEGE HAVING TO TAKE REMEDIAL CLASSES IN ENGLISH AND MATH. WHY IS THAT? PLEASE FOCUS ON CORE ACADEMIC EDUCATION. EXPECT HIGH STANDARDS TO BE MET BY OUR STUDENTS AND STOP ADDING TO THE CURRICULUM, WATERING DOWN AN ALREADY POOR EDUCATION BEING PROVIDED TO OUR STUDENTS. THIRDLY, I REQUEST THAT WE BUY OUT DOCTOR OLSON'S CONTRACT AND THEN DO A COUNTY WIDE SEARCH FOR APPROPRIATE CANDIDATES TO FILL THE ROLE OF SUPERINTENDENT. ALSO, THE PROCESS SHOULD BE OPEN AND TRANSPARENT, AND IT SHOULD GIVE HARTFORD COUNTY CITIZENS A SAY IN WHO WILL BE CHOSEN. LASTLY, I AGAIN ASK THAT THE BOARD VOTE TO REVOKE ANY VOTING RIGHTS OF THE STUDENT REP. THE AVERAGE AGE OF THE BRAIN'S PREFRONTAL CORTEX IS FORMED AS 25 YEARS LATER, FOR MALES, THIS PART OF THE BRAIN CONTROLS DECISION MAKING, REASONING, AND PROBLEM SOLVING. ADDITIONALLY, 71% OF OUR 2025 GRADUATES MET AT LEAST ONE OF OUR NORTH STAR GRADUATION OUTCOMES. THAT MEANS THEY COMPLETED ADVANCED ADVANCED COURSEWORK. THEY WERE DULY ENROLLED, OR THEY EARNED A CAREER CREDENTIAL. THIS IS A SEVEN POINT INCREASE FROM THE PREVIOUS GRADUATING CLASS. THIS IS HUGE GAINS DUE TO OUR WORK THAT WE HAVE WITH OUR CREDENTIALS. FINALLY, JUST AS OUR TEACHERS USE FLASHLIGHTS TO SPARK LEARNING AND THE LOVE OF READING AND OUR NEW BOARD MEMBERS STEP FORWARD TO SERVE, IT IS MY PRIVILEGE TO ENSURE THAT STUDENTS ARE FOCUSED ON TEACHING AND LEARNING, AND OUR TEACHERS ARE FOCUSED ON TEACHING AND LEARNING, AND THAT REMAINS A HIGH PRIORITY EVERY DAY. THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE FOR THE 54 TEACHERS OF THE YEAR NOMINEE NOMINEES THAT WERE ANNOUNCED TODAY, WHO PROUDLY REPRESENT ALL OF OUR SCHOOLS. CONGRATULATIONS TO A WELL DESERVING NOMINEES.
